By accessing or using the Laziz platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Please read these terms carefully — they govern your legal relationship with Foodio Global Foods FZE LLC (“Laziz”).

1. About Laziz

1.1 Laziz is a direct food ordering platform operated by Foodio Global Foods FZE LLC. Laziz connects consumers with partner restaurants and cloud kitchens, enabling them to order food at the restaurant’s real menu price — without the commission markups applied by traditional food aggregators.

1.2 Laziz commits that food prices on the platform are the Merchant’s real menu prices, typically around 20% lower than the same item’s price on major aggregator platforms. This saving is structural, not a temporary promotion.

1.3 Laziz operates the delivery service directly. When you place an order, you enter into a purchase contract with the Merchant for the food and a delivery service engagement with Laziz for the delivery.

1.4 Laziz collects all customer payments and settles with Merchant partners.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under UAE law to use the platform and place orders.

2.2 You confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it up to date.

2.3 One account per person is permitted. Laziz may identify and merge duplicate accounts and may restrict promotional benefits associated with duplicate registrations.

3. Pricing and Fees

3.1 All food prices displayed on the platform are the Merchant’s real menu prices. Laziz does not inflate food prices.

3.2 In addition to the food price, the following charges apply:

  • Service Fee: 2.5% of your bill to help us improve our services for you, our restaurants, and our riders, with a minimum of AED 2.00. The service fee is shown clearly at checkout before you confirm your order.
  • Delivery Fee: shown at checkout based on your delivery location and other operational factors.
  • VAT: applied at the rate prescribed by UAE law, calculated on the food subtotal, service fee, and delivery fee.

3.3 The Total Bill — food subtotal, service fee, delivery fee, and VAT — is displayed clearly at the checkout screen before payment. You will not be charged any amount not shown at checkout. In accordance with Dubai DCCPFT Circular No. 2 of 2025, if any fee is not clearly disclosed before checkout you are entitled to a refund of that undisclosed amount.

3.4 Final pricing is computed by Laziz’s pricing engine on our servers and confirmed on the checkout screen. The cart preview uses the same formula and is intended to match the checkout total exactly; in the rare event of a discrepancy, the figure shown on the checkout screen is the amount you authorise.

4. Orders

4.1 Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected items from the relevant Merchant at the prices shown. Your order is confirmed when Laziz sends you a confirmation message.

4.2 Laziz reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where items are unavailable, payment cannot be processed, there is evidence of fraudulent activity, or otherwise at Laziz’s reasonable discretion.

4.3 Once your order has been accepted and preparation has commenced, it cannot be cancelled unless the Merchant or Laziz is unable to fulfil it.

4.4 If an item is unavailable after order confirmation, Laziz will inform you and offer a suitable remedy, including a full or partial refund.

5. Delivery

5.1 Laziz operates delivery services directly or through third parties. Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by traffic, weather, order volume, and other factors outside Laziz’s reasonable control.

5.2 You are responsible for providing an accurate, accessible delivery address. Laziz is not liable for failed or delayed delivery resulting from an incorrect address provided by you.

5.3 Risk in the food passes to you upon delivery to the address you specified. If you are not present and the delivery cannot be completed, Laziz reserves the right to charge the full order amount.

5.4 Where a delivery is significantly delayed through Laziz’s fault, we will assess the circumstances and provide a fair remedy at our discretion.

6. Payment

6.1 Laziz accepts payment by credit card, debit card, and such other payment methods as Laziz may make available from time to time. Payments are processed securely. Laziz does not store full payment card details on its systems.

6.2 By placing an order, you authorise Laziz to charge your selected payment method for the Total Bill shown at checkout.

6.3 All prices on the platform are in UAE Dirhams (AED), inclusive of VAT where applicable.

7. Food Quality and Merchant Responsibility

7.1 The Merchant is solely responsible for the preparation, quality, safety, and description of food items. Laziz does not prepare food and is not responsible for food quality, allergen information, or food safety incidents caused by the Merchant.

7.2 If you have a dietary requirement or allergy you must verify it with the restaurant directly before placing your order. Menu descriptions on the platform are provided by Merchants and Laziz does not guarantee their accuracy.

7.3 Food items are non-returnable once delivered. Any complaint regarding food quality, safety, missing items, or incorrect items must be reported to Laziz within 24 hours of delivery through the in-app support function or by contacting info@laziz.ae.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Place fraudulent, fictitious, or bad-faith orders.
  • Provide false registration or delivery information.
  • Exploit promotions, referral systems, or vouchers dishonestly or through automated means.
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.
  • Attempt to access the platform’s systems without authorisation.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose under UAE law.
  • Abuse, threaten, or harass Laziz staff, delivery personnel, or Merchant staff.

9. Promotions, Vouchers, and Lucky Bite Wheel

9.1 Laziz may offer promotional vouchers, referral credits, and rewards through the Lucky Bite Wheel feature. All promotions are subject to the specific terms communicated at the time of the offer.

9.2 Referral rewards are issued after the referred user completes their first paid order with a food subtotal of at least AED 40. Laziz reserves the right to withhold or revoke rewards where fraudulent referral activity is detected.

9.3 Vouchers and credits are non-transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and valid only within the stated period.

9.4 Lucky Bite Wheel rewards may be funded by partner restaurants or by Laziz. The reward category and AED value are shown at the moment you win. Wheel outcomes are determined server-side and are final. Rewards are subject to availability and to the expiry period stated at the time of winning.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 The Laziz platform, name, logo, software, and content are owned by or licensed to Foodio Global Foods FZE LLC. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

10.2 You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial food ordering.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Laziz’s total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the Total Bill paid for that order.

11.2 Laziz is not liable for: (a) food quality, safety, or description, which is the Merchant’s responsibility; (b) delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control; (c) indirect or consequential losses; or (d) loss of data or profit.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Laziz’s negligence, or for fraud.

12. Changes to These Terms

Laziz may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice of any changes that materially affect your rights, by email or in-app notification, in line with Dubai DCCPFT Circular No. 2 of 2025. Non-material changes may take effect immediately. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates. You may also refer complaints to the UAE Ministry of Economy’s Consumer Protection Department or the Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade (DCCPFT) where applicable.
